CTK: St Mary’s students visit De Montfort University
Almost fifty CTK: St Mary’s Year 13 students were given the fantastic opportunity to visit De Montfort University (DMU) at the start of this academic year.
Our students were given a tour of the campus which showcased DMU’s key facilities including the library, Students' Union and halls of residence. Students also had the opportunity to meet course tutors and current DMU students to talk about the courses they had to offer and what day to day life is like for undergraduates.
DMU is located in the city of Leicester, England. The UK Department of Education awarded the institution a 'Gold' rating in the 2017 Teaching Excellence Framework, describing teaching as being "consistently outstanding" and "of the highest quality found in the UK Higher Education sector”.
The University is organised into four faculties: Art, Design, and Humanities; Business and Law; Health and Life Sciences; and Technology (comprising Computing Sciences and Engineering). There is also the Institute of Creative Technologies which researches the intersections of art, science, technology and multidisciplinary working.
