What will I be studying?
This course will help to expand your interest in Spanish language and culture as well as to develop your linguistic skills. You will focus on a range of historical and contemporary topics which will further develop your understanding of Spain and Latin American countries. The course will include the study of literature and film and will encourage you to be up to date with current affairs.
What do I need to study this course?
GCSE Spanish (Grade 9-5).
How will I be assessed?
The assessment covers a range of topics as appropriate to A Level language learning. All four skill areas will be assessed and will reflect the content of the course. Skills include listening, reading, writing, speaking and grammar manipulation through translation.
Where will A Level Spanish lead me?
Languages are facilitating subjects as recommended by the Russell Group of Universities. An A Level in a modern foreign language would be beneficial to a great majority of courses at university, and would be particularly helpful if you choose to spend a year abroad.
