At Christ the King, we invest in and nurture all our staff. Both teaching and non-teaching staff have access to opportunities for CPD and leadership development throughout their careers at the College.
High-quality targeted CPD is tailored to the needs of the individual staff members and specific groups identified via quality and review processes. Our CPD involves staff in developing themselves, other staff and the College as a whole – a process of continuous learning.
A key aim is to promote and develop strong leadership at all levels for both support and teaching staff.
Cross College Leadership and Management Development Programme
Invited staff across college departments and from a range of leadership levels, both teaching and support, are identified during the early part of the summer term each year.
Staff Study Bursaries
A number of staff study bursaries are available to both support and teaching staff each year to assist with course fees for Masters Degrees or further study.
One of the reasons I was keen to join CTK was because I knew I would be encouraged in my professional development. The College has supported me financially to gain my MA in Leadership & Educational Management from the Institute of Education, University College London. This has proved to be invaluable. Equally important, however, has been the encouragement and support I have been given by the Principal.
