Christ the King is a long-established sixth form college with a proud tradition of academic achievement. We hope you have already taken the opportunity to visit us on one of our Open Days to meet staff and students and discuss the study options available to your son or daughter. You can also find out more about College life through our 2015 film series. On all three sites we have created a structured, nurturing learning environment that helps our young people make the sometimes challenging transition from school to the more adult environment of college.
Examination success is essential in the highly competitive global jobs market, but a string of A-grades is not an end in itself. Top exam passes enable our young people to progress to the start of their chosen career, whether via a degree at a high-ranking university or their first step into the world of work.
From the day they join us, our students engage with our careers advisers and other members of staff to plan their future careers. Which A Level subjects are best for their chosen career? Have they considered a BTEC Diploma, now increasingly a path to study at some of our most prestigious universities?
We want our students to aim for the top, so we feed their inspiration, whether that's via visits from high-achievers who have reached the top in their chosen professions, or opportunities to do work experience with top City employers. Our Career Fairs, too, give students the opportunities to forge links with future employers.
At Christ the King, we also set great store by educating the whole person and provide a host of learning opportunities beyond the classroom to widen our students' outlook and encourage them to aspire to careers they have perhaps not yet considered. Our outstanding pastoral support helps our students develop the skills and self-confidence needed to achieve their potential.
Parents and guardians are our partners in the exciting journey our students are making from school to adult life and all the opportunities that lie beyond.
